That is a good point for a subset of the jobs like those involved in the manufacturing supply chain that have been largely outsourced, but it doesn’t hold for a lot of the other jobs that are involved in this discussion that would never be outsourced like nurses, etc. I think those jobs are more of whats driving the discourse around the skills gap than other lower value jobs that America has mostly sent overseas.
